The 2011 Back Yamma Bigfoot has been run and won and results are now available on our results page.

This was our second year running this event and it proved to be popular once again with a total of 456 entries across the three race distances. From this 456 entries there were 407 starters, 49 in the Little Foot, 174 in the Big Foot and 184 in the Two Big Feet.

We would like to thank our sponsors Essential Energy, Ground Effect and Progressive Coaching Systems. A big thank you to Forests NSW for allowing us to run this event in their forest and for allowing free camping to competitors over the duration of the weekend. We would also like to thank the Rotary Club of Parkes, Parkes SES, St Johns and the Central West Astronomical Society for their support during the weekend.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer the kids skills workshop we were hoping to run. Our clubs skills coaches are not available this year. We apologise for this late notice but hope to be able to offer this program next year.

The 2011 Back Yamma Bigfoot course has been finalised and is now available to download as a PDF file or as a Google Earth compatible KML file.

2011 sees some changes to the Big Foot course. While the first 25km loop remains unchanged, the second 25km loop has been altered to include some previously unridden tracks and some newly built single track.

We have also released altitude profiles for the two stages of the course.

There are less than two weeks to go until Race Day and the Bigfoot team is proud to announce that the 2011 Back Yamma Bigfoot is officially sold out! The initial allocation allocation of 400 plus the bonus 50 places have all been filled, for a grand total of 450 competitors this year!

With the greater competitor numbers in mind, we have been working hard to ensure that this years’ race is an improvement on last years’ in every way; and we are ecstatic that we can share the Back Yamma State Forest experience with even more people this year.
